Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect the information you share with us. Effective 20 May 2026.

1. Who we are

E-Sutra is India's Web3 alliance, an industry body convening founders, financial institutions, and regulators around the responsible growth of tokenized digital asset ecosystems. References in this policy to “we”, “us”, or “E-Sutra” mean the E-Sutra entity operating this website.

2. What we collect

We only collect the information you choose to give us through the inquiry form on this website. That typically includes:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone or mobile number
  • Your organization and role / title
  • The participation interest you select
  • Any message you write to us

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data, payment information, or government-issued identifiers through this website.

3. Why we collect it

We use the information you submit only to:

  • Respond to your inquiry and engage with you about E-Sutra's work
  • Send you an automated acknowledgement of your submission
  • Maintain records of who has reached out and on what subject
  • Comply with any applicable legal or regulatory obligation

4. Lawful basis

We process your information based on your consent, given when you submit the form, and on E-Sutra's legitimate interest in following up on enquiries directed to us.

5. How long we keep it

We retain your submission for as long as is necessary to respond to your inquiry and to maintain reasonable records of our engagement, and for a maximum of 36 months thereafter — unless you ask us to delete it sooner, or unless a longer retention period is required by law.

6. Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party for marketing purposes. Limited access may be given to:

  • E-Sutra's team members and authorized council representatives, on a need-to-know basis
  • Our email and infrastructure providers (e.g. transactional email and hosting), strictly for the purpose of operating this website
  • Regulators or law enforcement, where we are legally required to disclose information

7. Your rights

You can ask us, at any time, to:

  • Confirm what information we hold about you
  • Correct any inaccurate information
  • Delete the information we hold about you
  • Withdraw your consent to further contact

To make any such request, email us at contact@e-sutra.org. We will respond within a reasonable time and in any case within the timelines required by applicable law.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information you give us against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. No internet transmission is fully secure; we do our best within that constraint.

9. Cookies

This website uses a small set of cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of the page will be updated when we do. Continued use of this website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
